They develop both new theoretical concepts and software tools and multifunctional laboratory equipment used for the further development of protein engineering. With the help of cutting-edge tools, proteins are being designed with improved properties for bio-catalysis, biodegradation, bio-sensing, and cell cultivation and differentiation. For example, the team has developed a software tool that designs proteins and predicts the influence of mutations in humans.
