Science is made up of facts, just like a house is made up of rocks. However, just a mere collection of facts resembles science as much as just a pile of rocks resembles a house. Data must be carefully collected, analysed, interpreted and presented.

The primary purpose of the Biostatics Centre is to provide assistance to other research teams in their pursuit of high-quality and innovative research, primarily through the expert knowledge of biostatistics, statistical programming and data management. Collaboration occurs across all aspects of research, from proposal and grant applications to data collection and statistical analyses to the interpretation of results and their publication. The team’s current methodological interests lie in survival analysis, clinical tests and research into biomarkers.
