Giancarlo Forte lectured at the University of Trieste

Giancarlo Forte, Head of the Cardiovascular System – Mechanobiology Team of FNUSA-ICRC was invited as one of the speakers at the University of Trieste, where he lectured to the students of the Summer School entitled “Nonlinear Life”.

This is the third year of this event, which was founded by the Technical University of Riga. This year’s co-organizer is the University of Trieste. “Nonlinear Life is an event for twenty-five master, postgraduate or doctoral students from around the world,” explained Giancarlo Forte, adding: “My lecture´s topic was Mechanically activated intracellular pathways in cell function and disease.”
Students will learn about the latest trends in the fields of biomedical engineering, medical technologies or life sciences through lectures by professors from Italy, Latvia and other countries within ten days. In addition to the theoretical part, participants can learn about state-of-the-art instruments and procedures in research institutions such as Elettra Sincotrone Trieste.
