Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the first ICRC DAYS – Creating the Future of Medicine 2025 Conference, which will be held from 9 to 10 September 2025 at Masaryk University / Faculty of Medicine, Campus Brno – Bohunice.

This year’s conference will be a special occasion as we celebrate the 240th anniversary of the St. Anne’s University Hospital Brno.

The program will feature a lectures of each ICRC Research Team and Core Facility, keynote lectures, invited talks by international and local experts in preclinical and clinical research, particularly in the areas of cardiology, neurology and oncology, with the aim of improving patient care; a poster session, and a panel discussion on education, (inter)national cooperation and a strategic planning of ICRC´s future mission.

We are also thrilled to announce opening of the first call for ICRC PhD student awards first-authored article by PhD students and published (either online or printed) in 2024. Two awarded publications will be selected by the evaluation committee of five senior researchers, medical doctors and management of the ICRC, FNUSA and MUNI Brno. The selected PhD students will receive a 10 thousand CZK award and be obliged to present their research at the ICRC DAYS conference.

The social program of the ICRC DAYS includes a BBQ and buffet dinner with live music.

We believe that the conference will provide an excellent opportunity to support networking and interactions among the researchers, ICRC staff, users and experts from the commercial sector.
